Dr David Reffitt is Clinical Director of Gastroenterology at Lewisham and Greenwich Healthcare Trust.
Dr Reffitt qualified in 1990 from Bristol University. He moved to London in 1993 after completing his General Medical Training in Bristol Royal Infirmary. He then joined the Specialist Registrar and trained in Gastroenterology and Hepatology over the next 7 years at St Thomas' Hospital and King's College Hospital. Dr Reffitt spent 3 years in research and completed an MD thesis in Gastroenterology at The Rayne Institute, St Thomas' Hospital, University of London.
Dr Reffitt has been the Training Programme Director for Gastroenterology registrars in South Thames, Kent, Surrey and Sussex regions since 2009 organising a comprehensive training programme for 75 Gastroenterology registrars.
Dr Reffitt maintains a comprehensive gastroenterology practice dealing with a complete range of disease of the upper and lower digestive tract and as a General Physician managing all medical patients.
