Dr Chris Baker qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990 and completed his PhD in Myocardial Hibernation and Stunning at the Hammersmith Hospital.
He was trained in cardiology at the London Chest and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals and is on the specialist register for both Cardiology and General Internal Medicine.
Dr Baker is an Interventional Cardiologist and a Consultant at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He performs hundreds of coronary and other cardiac procedures each year.
He has a special interest in the management of patients with complex coronary arteyr disease including chronic total occlusions, heart disease in those who are also affected by kidney problems and percutaneous treatments for the mitral valve including Mitraclip implants. He runs a specialist clinic at the North West London Renal Unit.
He performs a variety of cardiac procedures including treatments for complex coronary artery disease, structural heart problems, pacemaker implantation and heart valve abnormalities.
