



Cardiology
Dr Arvinder Kurbaan is a consultant Cardiologist based in London, UK. Following his graduation from Guys Hospital in 1990 he undertook his training in Cardiology at St Marys Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Harefield, Royal Brompton. Upon completion of his training he was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine for research at Imperial College, London. As a result of his research into the treatment of coronary heart disease, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2003.
Now at the peak of his career, Dr Kurbaan enjoys passing on his knowledge to younger students and is actively involved in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
His extensive training and education have allowed him to develop specialist interests within his field of Cardiology. These include; treatment of heart blockages in the heart arteries (Coronary Angioplasty/Stenting), treatment of damaged heart valves and the closing of holes in the heart (closure of patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects).
Outside of work Dr Kurbaan enjoys sports, particularly tennis, cricket and skiing.
