Dr Alison Jones is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at the Royal Free Hospital and University College Hospital, London, where she works as the clinical lead.
Dr Jones has a specialist interest in the diagnosis and management of patients who suffer from breast cancer. She also focuses on young patients who are diagnosed with breast cancer. She is on the steering committee for numberous cancer trials within the UK, paying interest to the introduction of new drugs and personalised medicines.
After graduating from Bristol University in 1980, Dr Jones went on to specialise in Medical Oncology and completed her training at The Royal Marsden Hospital. Her MD Thesis was conducted at the Institute of Cancer Research.
She is chair of the Breast Cancer Tumour Board responsible for creating guidelines as well as introducing new drug procedures. In 2006 she became Chair of the Association of Cancer Physicians of the UK. She sees private patients in her clinic in Harley Street.
