



Respiratory Medicine
Dr Ali Mohammed is a Consultant Respiratory & General Physician in London. He has extensive experience in managing a wide range of respiratory diseases including complex ones. He is a specialist thoracic and pleural USS and EBUS operator and trainer.
He qualified from Baghdad Medical School in 1996 and has worked in the UK since 1999. He completed his postgraduate training in Respiratory and General (Internal) Medicine in Edinburgh at a number of renowned respiratory centres. After finishing his training in Edinburgh he moved to London in 2010.
Dr Mohammed is currently the Clinical Lead for the lung cancer and pleural disease service, as well as the bronchoscopy and EBUS services at Whipps Cross University Hospital (part of the Barts Health NHS Trust). He is also the Lead Clinician for clinical governance within the respiratory department.
Alongside his clinical work, he is actively involved in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates within the London Deanery. He is an examiner for the Royal Colleges of Physicians for PACES MRCP part 2 examinations. Dr Mohammed is also a well-respected medico-legal witness expert within the field of respiratory medicine.
