



Haematology
Professor Adrian Bloor is a renowned Consultant Haematologist at The Christie Private Care. He holds an NHS post at The Christie NHS Trust where he is the Lead Clinician for Lymphoproliferative Disorders and the Haematology Research Team. He was awarded an Honorary Clinical Chair at the University of Manchester in 2019. He has a wide range of experience in the management of haematological malignancies, including lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma. He has a special interest in lymphoid malignancies (CLL and lymphoma), stem cell transplantation and in clinical trials.
Professor Bloor qualified in Medicine from Cambridge University before completing specialist training in Haematology at University College London Hospital. He holds Fellowships with the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists and was awarded a PhD for his research into molecular haemopoiesis. He is Principle or Chief Investigator for a large number of trials in Haemato-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. He is a member of the NCRI CLL Clinical Trials Committee, the Blood and Stem Cell Transplantation Clinical Reference Group (NHS England) the Leeds CLL Trials Management Group. He is a member of the UK CLL Forum Executive Committee and Medical Advisory Panels to the Lymphoma Action, Leukaemia Care and Bloodwise.
