“Mr Ajuied is a fantastic technical surgeon, and also one of the nicest people working in Orthopedics. His ability to listen and understand what the needs are of his patients means he only uses surgery when absolutely required. As a previously active 39 year old I was unable to walk for longer than hour due to pain my knee. Having diagnosed and explained my problem clearly and exhausted all non surgical options including bracing and physiotherapy, I underwent 2 surgery's to correct a long standing arthritic problem caused by a botched surgery years previously. My recovery immediately after the surgery and in the subsequent years and months has been life changing. I can now play football with my kids again. I wouldn't hesitate to trust and recommend Mr Ajuied to my friends and family for any knee issue.“

I felt well cared for by Mr Ajuied and the treatment worked well. The one comment I would have was that sometimes his bedside manner was slightly condescending in terms of giving information.

Mr Ajuied was a very personable consultant who explained things clearly and with reassurance. I knew what was happening throughout my treatment and was delighted with the improvement resulting from the cortisone injection he suggested. Whilst not yet 100% and still undergoing physio therapy I would feel quite happy and returning to Mr Ajuied for further advice should I not continue to improve. Mr Ajuied’s recommendation of a rheumatologist to help me with polymyalgia was helpful and productive.

From my first conversation with Emma to my subsequent appointment with Mr.Ajuied I was received very warmly and with great consideration. This dispelled my initial anxiety about the anticipated surgery for a knee replacement. Emma is always very helpful and made sure that all the arrangements for COVID testing, X-rays and clinic appointments went smoothly. Mr.Ajuied explained very clearly and carefully what the procedure entailed and also any possible risks. The operation went very smoothly and, apart from the expected post op discomfort, the result to date has been very satisfactory. I was subsequently referred to a very pleasant and experienced physiotherapist who has also been helpful in assisting in my recovery. The help and advice I have received from Mr. Ajuied and his team has made the whole experience so much easier than I had feared.

I contacted Mr Ajuied as I had had intermittent swelling in my knee, made worse by an accidental fall. From the very first telephone consultation (due to the first lockdown) Mr Ajuied was very reassuring and suggested concrete actions as a first point of call: buy a stationary bike and start physiotherapy. His approach was detailed and pragmatic . When it became apparent that my knee was not improving, I contacted Mr Ajuied who arranged a next day appointment for me to have a MRI scan. I eventually ended up requiring surgery to my knee and throughout the process he explained my diagnosis, was clear about the approach we'd be taking and was thorough and attentive. I can honestly say that the level of care was the best I've ever experienced (and I've had a fair few surgeries in my lifetime!). Mr Ajuied is an excellent clinician: patient, attentive and very personable. I would 100% recommend anyone with knee problems to contact him.

Adil is an outstanding doctor and surgeon. With only a few touches he identified the issues with my knee that were later confirmed by MRI. During my time in hospital he was always there to support me and answer questions. He recommended a good physiotherapists, which helped in my recovery. This was an ACL revision and recovery was generally smoother than during my first operation in Germany.

A great experience with Adil from start to finish. Thanks to his skill and experience I am now back up and trail running over the Wicklow mountains at distances he only hinted at and the mended knee is frankly “as good as new”. A great manner and fully professional in setting expectations and recovery plans. Highly recommended.
