“Dr Chitalia has been my doctor for 10 years. He has guided me through two breast cancers. He has never been less than highly professional. He makes me feel supported at all times. He is clear when he explains aspects of my diagnosis and treatments. He is always prepared to listen to my worries and concerns, and he’s not afraid of telling me off if I fail to mention something that might affect my wellbeing. I feel secure in his care and that means a lot to me. “

    Patient seen for:
I appreciate the directness and candour of Dr Chittaliia. This is balanced with an empathetic understanding of the anxiety and stress which diagnosis, treatment and monitoring creates for patients. He demonstrates an understanding of me as a person as well as a patient . I feel that I am being treated as a person and not just as a patient which, in the turmoil of diagnosis etc , the 'person' can sometimes be forgotten.

Dr Chittalia was recommended by my breast surgeon after a shock diagnosis. He worked really quickly to get the tests I needed and into active treatment. He is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable and always available when I need to ask questions. He does not dictate treatment options but enables me to discuss the way forward which is really important. However I know what he suggests will be the right course of action! I feel in very safe hands under his care and am grateful for his expertise.

Always available and comes across as extremely knowledgeable and experienced in his specialist field. I have total trust in Dr Chittalia which is the most important quality I would look for in a consultant. His absolute professionalism contributes to this quality. He is extremely thorough and explains his proposed actions and recommendations to gain buy-in from me as a patient. He will often discuss rather than impose actions and I like feeling I have had input into a course of action. I respect his comments and, at times feel we have jointly reached a way forward. I find that to be true consultancy.
