Dr Sarah Glynne graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine with Honours in 1999. She qualified as a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2002, and the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2008. In 2016 she completed a Master of Science degree in allergy. She passed her exams with distinction and was awarded the Dean’s Prize for Academic Excellence and the Jill Warner Prize for the MSc research project deemed to have the greatest impact on patient care.

Dr Glynne works in the NHS as a GP with a special interest in the menopause at Oxshott Medical Practice in Surrey. She has completed the Newson Health menopause training course, and is on the Advisory Board of the Newson Health Menopause Society.

Dr Glynne is trained to consult in all aspects of menopause care, and is particularly interested in the link between Covid-19 and hormone imbalance. She believes that hormonal perturbations are a barrier to recovery in many female patients with long Covid, and hormone therapy (HRT) can significantly improve health and quality of life.

Dr Glynne is also interested in the management of menopausal symptoms in women with a history of breast cancer. In association with Newson Health, she is a member of a newly established working party that aims to raise awareness and education about the role of HRT in women with a history of breast cancer. She is keen to promote access to evidence-based care for breast cancer survivors.

Dr Glynne is a member of the British Menopause Society.

Dr Glynne is available to offer video consultations on Wednesdays between 10:00 and 14:00, and able to consult in person, or by video consultation, at The Portland Hospital on Thursdays between 10:00 and 14:00.

After this, I entered GP training, completing disciplines in pediatrics and obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a specialist interest in the latter, obtaining my diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists. I have over 12 years of experience as a GP in both the NHS and private primary care sectors, undergoing training in travel health and sexual health, as I have always had an interest in infectious diseases and their prevention.
