Mr Luke Cascarini is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial, Head and Neck Surgeon who consults privately at a number of London hospitals and nearer his home in Beckenham. 

He treats any condition that affects the mouth, neck, jaw and face - from impacted wisdom teeth to facial trauma, from salivary gland stones to head and neck cancer, from dental implants to complex reconstruction.

He is one of the most highly experienced surgeons in temporomandibular joints (TMJ) replacement surgery in the UK, carrying out the majority of these operations performed in the South of England.

Luke has led the field in the use of platelet rich fibrinogen and stem cell therapy in conjunction with minimally invasive arthroscopy TMJ surgery. He is also a pioneer in the use of extended joint reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the European Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons.

In salivary gland surgery Luke has published and lectured on minimally invasive salivary gland surgery, including tumour removal and stone removal. In trauma surgery Luke provides the latest techniques including computer aided designed reconstructive implants for orbital fractures.

In head and neck oncology Luke is trained in robotic surgery, micro surgical reconstruction (free flap reconstruction), laser surgery and electrochemotherapy.

Luke also provides expertise in oral medicine and pre malignant lesions precipitating early diagnosis.

Luke provides dental implants both for naturally lost teeth and also part of the reconstructive process for his oncology patients including bone grafting and sinus lifts in complex cases.

Luke has published over 50 research papers, written 3 textbooks and numerous other chapters as well as lecturing Nationally and Internationally. He was Associate Editor of the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Section Editor (Trauma) of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for over 5 years and continues to provide reviews for these Journals.

Mr Nicholas Kalavrezos is a Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgeon with a background in Oral and Maxillo-Facial surgery. Mr Jonas Osher is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon specialising in surgery of the mouth, face, jaws and neck. He is based at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he is the clinical lead and he also sees patients privately at The London Bridge Hospital and The Shard. 

Mr Osher has degrees in both medicine and dentistry and was awarded a distinction by the University of London. He trained in general surgery, plastic surgery and ear, nose and throat surgery, before completing higher surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in London. In 2014, he was awarded Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons.

Professor McGurk is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial and Head and Neck Surgeon, part of the North London Head and Neck Cancer Group and provides a specialist service in oral and head and neck cancer, reconstruction and salivary gland disease. He is past president of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and past editor of the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

He studied at Sheffield University before undertaking junior posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery and a six month period visiting maxillofacial units in the United States. Professor McGurk later returned to Sheffield to complete his medical degree.

Professor McGurk has completed significant research in his field and focused on the early diagnosis of head and neck cancer, complications of surgery, and the use of minimally invasive surgery for head and neck cancer. He has written two books on salivary disease and influenced the practice of salivary gland surgery to move from excision to gland preservation. He also led a European trial on sentinel node biopsy which led to a 75% reduction in neck dissection for early mouth cancers. In addition, he developed a new way to treat odontogenic tumours (ameloblastoma) which preserves the mandible and normal facial appearance.

Professor McGurk lectures at national and international conferences and runs classes on salivary gland surgery in London, Paris and Erlangen for Maxillofacial and ENT Consultants.
