Mr Giles Bantick is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Hand Surgeon, based at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital. He sees private patients at The Platinum Medical Centre (Wellington Hospital) and at Chelsea Outpatient Centre. Around 70% of Mr Banticks practice is hand surgery and 30% plastic surgery, including minor cosmetic surgery.

Mr Bantick trained at at Barts in London and then undertook specialist training in plastic surgery in Bristol, Cambridge, South Wales, Liverpool and also in Sydney, Australia. He then completed a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney and a further Fellowship in cosmetic surgery in London. He  worked as a cosmetic surgeon in Harley Street for about a year in 2001-2.

He has various active research interests. He was a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in 1994-5 studying wound healing and was awarded a Fulbright Travelling Scholarship for this work.

Mr Bantick was Lead for Plastic Surgery (head of department) at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital from 2007-12.

Mr Bantick is a Fellow of The Royal College of England and is also actively involved in education, training medical students at all levels and is an invited lecturer at the Imperial College Medical School.

In his hand surgery practice, he works closely with a team of hand therapists and with a Consultant Radiologist, who is expert at ultrasound scans and ultrasound guided hand procedures. Ultrasound scans are used to assess many hand problems and can often be done at the initial consultantion.

Mr Bantick's special areas of interest include all types of hand injuries and hand conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and Dupuytren’s disease. He treats many elite sportsmen with hand injuries and hand problems, and also muscians with hand problems.

In his plastic surgery practice, Mr Bantick offers removal of skin lesions (including cysts, moles, BCCs and skin cancers, lipomas) and scar improvement (steroid injections and surgical removal).

Mr Joseph Perez is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the treatment of the Hand, Wrist, Elbow and Shoulder problems. He has a clinical interest in thumb osteoarthritis, wrist pain, elbow instability/fractures and degenerative conditions of the shoulder. He performs a wide range of operative interventions including keyhole surgery (arthroscopy), joint replacement (arthroplasty), fixation of acute fractures and reconstruction of non-unions. 

Mr Perez qualified in 1987 from Guys Hospital Medical School. Following this, he trained in orthopaedics in Bristol and the South East and took the Inter-collegiate Specialist Exam in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in 1999. He then went on to complete a two year fellowship in Hand, Wrist, Elbow and Shoulder Surgery in Sydney. In 2002 he was a appointed as a Consultant at Northwest London Hospitals Trust, where he is currently the lead clinician for Hand and Elbow Surgery.

He has written over 3500 medico legal reports and has performed over 8500 operative interventions. Mr Perez regularly receives referrals to assess and treat Professional and Olympic athletes.
