Professor Adrian Bloor is a renowned Consultant Haematologist at The Christie Private Care. He holds an NHS post at The Christie NHS Trust where he is the Lead Clinician for Lymphoproliferative Disorders and the Haematology Research Team.  He was awarded an Honorary Clinical Chair at the University of Manchester in 2019. He has a wide range of experience in the management of haematological malignancies, including lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.  He has a special interest in lymphoid malignancies (CLL and lymphoma), stem cell transplantation and in clinical trials.

Professor Bloor qualified in Medicine from Cambridge University before completing specialist training in Haematology at University College London Hospital. He holds Fellowships with the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists and was awarded a PhD for his research into molecular haemopoiesis.  He is Principle or Chief Investigator for a large number of trials in Haemato-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. He is a member of the NCRI CLL Clinical Trials Committee, the Blood and Stem Cell Transplantation Clinical Reference Group (NHS England) the Leeds CLL Trials Management Group. He is a member of the UK CLL Forum Executive Committee and Medical Advisory Panels to the Lymphoma Action, Leukaemia Care and Bloodwise.

After graduating from the University of Dundee in 1991, Dr Mike Dennis trained as a physician in Liverpool. He then moved to Australia to specialise in haematology. Dr Dennis joined The Christie on his return, then undertook further haematology training in Liverpool before returning to The Christie as Consultant Haematologist in 2004, where he is now Clinical Director of the haematology and transplant unit.

Dr Dennis is an active researcher with the National Cancer Research Network's AML and myelodysplasia working groups and a member of several other professional groups, including the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Pathologists and the British Society for Haematology.

Dr Samar Kulkarni is a Consultant Haematologist with The Christie NHS Trust and he also sees patients privately at The Christie Private Care. He has worked in the field of haematology-oncology and stem cell transplantation since 1992.

His specialist interests include acute lymphoid leukaemia, acute myeloid leukaemia, myeloma, lymphoma, lyeloproliferative disorders, bone marrow/stem cell transplantation and other aspects of malignant haematology. He has held the position of Training Programme Director, Haematology for Health Education England, NW Deanery since 2015. Dr Kulkarni has had more than 200 peer reviewed publications in the field of myeloma, leukaemia, stem cell transplantation and he presents at numerous national and international meetings, including invited lectures.

His memberships and affiliations include: American Society of Haematology, American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, American Society of Microbiology and Indian Co-operative Oncology Network (ICON, Life member).
