Dr Aathavan Loganayagam trained in medicine at Guy’s, King's and St. Thomas’ medical schools. He then underwent rigorous structured specialty training in gastroenterology and general internal medicine in the well respected South London training programme.
He then spent two years during postgraduate training as a research and endoscopy fellow at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London. His research was in the fields of pharmacogenetics, inflammatory bowel disease and gastrointestinal malignancy. He has received awards and grants for outstanding research work, including the prestigious NHS Innovation London Award.
Dr Loganayagam has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals on all aspects of gastroenterology. He is actively involved in clinical research. He has particular local expertise in the practice of personalised medicine and the utilisation of novel therapeutic agents in the treatment of complex inflammatory bowel disease. He is currently the lead clinician for endoscopy at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich.
Diagnostic and advanced therapeutic endoscopy remains a major part of his clinical expertise, including assessment and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, strictures, polyps and cancers.

 Dr Lisa Das is a Consultant Gastroenterologist since 1997. Formerly she

enjoyed the privilege of being the UK’s first Community Gastroenterology

Consultant at the Royal London Hospital Barts Health NHS Trust with an interest

in improving service delivery. She trained at Guy’s Hospital Medical School,

London before completing her medical residency in Boston, USA. Subsequently Dr

Das completed her subspecialist training in Gastroenterology at Columbia

University, New York and holds both Board Certification in Gastroenterology

(USA) and full accreditation in the UK General Medical Council's Specialist

Register in Gastroenterology. 

Dr Das has extensive expertise in both diagnostic and

therapeutic endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) and general gastroenterology.

She has a special interest in Irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal

pain/dyspepsia, gastrointestinal cancer screening, obesity, inflammatory bowel

He received a Medical Research Council grant and authored a successful textbook called ‘Hands-on Guide to Clinical Pharmacology’. It was a moment of honour when Dr Chatu presented his work on how to manage gastrointestinal cancer at The Houses of Parliament. 

Current memberships include the British Society of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, British Medical Association and The Royal College of Physicians.

Dr. Sebastian Zeki is a gastroenterologist at St Thomas' Hospital in London one of the country's leading tertiary referral centres. He is also a senior clinical lecturer at Kings College University and Barts cancer institute.

This was recognised and presented at national and international meetings and recognised with several prizes from British, European and American Gastroenterological Societies. His main research interests include upper gastrointestinal cancer (stomach and oesophagus) diagnosis and therapy as well as the detection of their precursors. Dr Joel Mawdsley is a Consultant Gastroenterologist based in the internationally respected Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit at Guys and St Thomas’ where he is joint clinical lead. He has maintained an active research interest being involved in clinical research studies in IBD and with a particular interest in the brain-gut axis.

Mawdsley was a colonoscopist in the National Bowel Cancer Screening program for 3 years in the mid-2010s.
