Dr. Christina Choy is a Breast Specialist Consultant Surgeon currently working at the private practices at the London Clinic, King Edward VII Hospital, Princess Grace Hospital and The Harley Street Diagnostic Centre, the Lister Hospital and the Chiswick Medical Centre. Miss Choy is very experienced in offering breast screening and assessment procedures for breast pain, nipple discharge, mastitis, and lumps. She also offers family history clinic, other breast cancer risk assessments, and genetic testing. 

Dr. Choy graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Sydney in 1986. Choy undertook her postgraduate speciality training across well-known countries such as Australia and Hong Kong. Dr. Choy also worked as a fellow in the UK in St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital before taking on consultant post as a locum at St Bartholomew's, King's College and Newham General Hospital. She worked as a substantive consultant Oncoplastic breast surgeon at Homerton University Hospital for over 14 years. Dr. Choy worked in a multi-disciplinary team in the London Breast Institute for over 10 years with breast care nurses, pathologists, oncologists, and radiologists.

Dr. Christina Choy is also interested in research regarding the genetic aspect of breast cancer by studying gene arrays and studying data of Afrocarribean young women with breast cancer. She also studies ethnic barriers affecting women in accessing early breast cancer diagnosis and aims to resolve barriers to allow easier access to medical care. She has published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals. 

Choy is an Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon fully registered with the General Medical Council. She also holds medical board registrations in Hong Kong and Australia. Choy is also a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons in the UK and Breast Surgeon International. Dr. Choy is fluent in English, Chinese - Cantonese.

Mr Paul Thiruchelvam is a Consultant Breast Surgeon practising at Imperial College NHS Trust in London. As an oncoplastic breast surgeon, his specialist interests are the treatment of breast cancer, breast cancer risk reduction surgery, familial breast cancer, partial breast reconstruction and breast cancer-related lymphodema. He also has an interest in benign breast disease. Mr Thiruchelvam obtained his medical degree from Imperial College London in 2000. He underwent his surgical training at a number of specialist breast units in London hospitals including The Royal Marsden, North West Thames and Imperial College. His surgical training was completed during his fellowship at the National Oncoplastic Group at the Nottingham Breast Institute. During this time, he conducted research mapping the anatomy of chest wall perforators flaps in breast reconstruction. He also completed a PhD in Molecular Oncology at Imperial College London in 2010. Mr Thiruchelvam has also completed travelling fellowships to world-class hospitals such as the Mayo Clinic and the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the USA. In 2016, he was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Fellowship, during which he travelled to Japan, the USA, and the Netherlands to study specialist breast cancer treatment techniques. He is a member of the expert panel on breast cancer-related lymphoedema and helped to compile the American Society of Breast Surgeons’ best practice guidelines. Away from the clinic, he enjoys rugby and travelling.

He undertook early surgical training at the Middlesex Hospital and subsequently went on to be awarded a postgraduate MS thesis from the University of London. His research work looked into genetic influences on the inflammatory response to surgery. Higher Surgical training was spent in the North West Thames region, culminating in a prestigious National TIG Oncoplastic Fellowship year at the Royal Marsden Hospital. In 2013 he was appointed as a full-time Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust, where he is now the Clinical Lead. He is also an Honorary Consultant at Imperial Healthcare and Royal Free NHS Trusts. In his spare time, he tries to run a little further and faster than before. He lives in West London with his young family.
