Professor Albert Ferro studied Medicine at King's College London (1978-1984) obtaining a 1st Class Honours intercalated BSc degree in Biochemistry in 1981 along the way. After qualifying, and following training as a junior doctor in medicine, he did his PhD in Clinical Pharmacology at Cambridge University. Since that time, his research and clinical interest have both focussed on the prevention and treatment of heart disease. He has been a Consultant Physician at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals since 1996 and was appointed Professor in 2009.

Professor Ferro is ex-Vice-President (2005-2007) of the British Pharmacological Society (Clinical Section). He served as Chair of the London Hypertension Society between 2005 and 2009, of which he remains a committee member. He is a member of a number of professional societies, as well as serving on the Editorial Boards of several medical and cardiovascular scientific journals. He provides a General (Internal) Medicine service to Guy's and St Thomas and runs the Hypertension Clinic there.

Dr Stuart Harris is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at The Wellington Hospital and at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre and Medical Director at Southend Hospital and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Mid and South Essex NHS Foudation Trust (NHS). He has a specialist interest in arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), catheter ablations and implantable ICDs and pacemakers.

After qualifying from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in 1995 he completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training in London and Edinburgh. He was initially appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at St Bartholomew's Hospital in 2005 before he took up a post as a Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in 2007 and in 2013 he was made the department’s Clinical Director. He is also the arrhythmia lead for the Essex Cardiac and Stroke Network. In 2020 he took up the post of Medical Director of Southend Hospital and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

He is actively involved in clinical research on Atrial Fibrillation, the use of implantable devices in the treatment of Heart Failure and the effects of pacing on heart function. He is a Council Member and Treasurer of the British Heart Rhythm Society.

Rajiv has been a Consultant Cardiologist since 2003. He has extensive clinical experience in general and interventional cardiology. He has helped many patients. His interests include chest pain and shortness of breadth assessment and treatment. He has extensive experience of the management of coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, palpitation, blackouts, and patients who have had stents or cardiac surgery.

Dr Raj Amersey is a well-respected Consultant Interventionalist Cardiologist based at Whipps Cross and Barts and The Royal London NHS Trust. He also works with HCA Healthcare at the London Bridge Hospital and The Wellington Hospital where he offers a first-class service to clients at a time to suit them. He has expertise in all areas of general cardiology but his special interests are coronary thrombosis, ischaemic heart disease and coronary intervention.

Dr David Propper is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at Barts and The London NHS Trust, with specialist interests in Breast, Colorectal (Large Bowel), Hepatobiliary, Oesophagus & Stomach oncology. Dr Propper also has interests in translational research, early phase trials and the introduction of new therapeutic agents, and outside his clincal work, he continues his commitment as a consultant and senior lecturer in GI Oncology at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.

Dr Propper trained in medical oncology at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund Medical Oncology Unit in Oxford, receiving major trial research experience and subsequently spending time at the Lombardi Cancer Centre Georgetown Washington DC, USA.
