Dr Avinash Sharma is a Consultant Physician specialising in geriatric medicine. He is based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and works at a number of private practices in London. He has a clinical interest in movement and disorders, Parkinson’s disease and frailty.

After graduating from NSCB Medical College in India in 1994, he worked in New Delhi for a number of years before moving to the UK. Dr David Williams is Consultant Obstetric Physician at The Institute for Women’s Health, University College London Hospital and at 78 Harley Street, London. He has a particular interest in the long-term consequences of gestational syndromes on women’s future health and the role of paternal health on fetal growth. Dr Williams and his research group are funded by the MRC, UCL/UCLH Biomedical Research Centre, the Rosetrees Trust, Wellbeing of Women, BMA and partnerships with industry.

In 2010, he was awarded one of the very few Wellcome Trust Senior Clinical Fellowships which he has held for ten years. His work has resulted in both practice changing diagnostic trials for lung disease, the development of new drugs and therapies and he now leads one of the countries largest trials called SUMMIT - involving building four CT screening centres for lung cancer, delivering lung cancer screeening for 25,000 people.

Prof Janes has published over 150 manuscripts on lung disease in the best journals, including Nature, Science, New England Journal of Medicine and he continues his clinics and bronchoscopy lists delivering expert care to his patients.
