Professor Francis Chinegwundoh MBE has received expert training in London and the West Midlands, as well as international training from the USA. He has a breadth of knowledge in Urology, allowing him to treat emergency and elective urology patients. His interests focus on urological oncology, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and the prostate.

Prof Chinegwundoh is the regional lead for prostate brachytherapy, and is currently leading a major study examining prostate cancer. He contributes to medical education by being on the selection panel for medical school entry. He holds the positions of chairman of the charity Black Care and trustee of the National Federation of Prostate Cancer Support Groups (Tackle). If treatment with tablets or medical devices hasn’t proved successful, he can offer restorative surgery using state-of-the-art penile prosthetic devices. He works as part of a very experienced team in this area . He also treats Peyronie’s disease, offering medical treatments in its early phases, and surgical correction if this fails.

Professor Persad has 25 years of experience in the restoration of fertility using microsurgical Reversal of Vasectomy and has some of the best results nationally. He also offers male infertility procedures such varicocele correction and testicular extraction of sperm in order to optimize assisted conception techniques.

After competing his higher surgical training at Guy's Hospital, London and urological research at King's College Hospital Rick Popert was appointed consultant in 1996. His main area of interest and where his skills excell are in the evaluation and surgical treatmetn of benign and malignant prostatic disease. 

His surgical expertise lie in Robotic radical Prostatectomy, Dynamic Prostate Brachytherapy, for which he has the UK's largest experience of single visit dynamic intra-operative prostate brachytherapy and has carried out over 800 of these cases since 2004; Precision Prostate Diagnosis with MRI Fusion Biopsies and Holmium Laser Prostatectomy for which he has carried out over 800 holmium laser enucleations with reduced bleeding and length of stay in patients with prostate volumes larger than 100 cc compared with standard transurethral prostatectomy (TURP). 

His surgical tecnhique is now a robotic assisted approach as opposed to the more conventional open radical prostatectomy carrying out over 600 robotic prostatectomies since 2006; For benign prostatic disease, he has one of the UK's largest experience of holmium laser prostatectomy (HoLEP).

He is an expert in Precision Prostate Diagnostics and has developed a rapid access prostate MRI assessment service together with with a unique systematic transperineal biopsy approach which provides accurate tumour localisation; this is an approach that has been further enhanced by the technique of MRI fusion targeted biopsy of the prostate which he introduced in March 2012. 

In 2014 he introduced a prostate arterial embolisation service. This is an alternative to the surgical management of benign prostatic disease avoiding the complications of urinary incontinence, erectile and ejaculatory dysfunction.

Mr Acher is a Consultant Urological Surgeon.  Following training on the South Thames part of the London Specialist Registrar roation he gained entry to the Specialist register in 2011. Mr Acher completed his PhD on prostate cancer brachytherapy at Cambridge University and in 2010 received a commendation at the Royal Socoiety of Medicine Young Trainee of the Year Awards.

His special interests include general urology, urinary stone disease, problems with urinary flow and urological cancers.  Mr Acher has introduced short stay laser prostate surgery (HoLEP) for benign prostate problems and carries out 100 of these procedures per year. He also manages kidney stones and has  set up an advanced Prostate Diagnostic services incorporating multiparametric MRI and comprehensive transperineal prostate biopsy- this has reduced infections and inconclusive transrectal biopsy, and most importantly is preferred by patients.

Mr Acher is passionate when it comes to evaulating outcomes and contributing to published literature and within his busy schedule manages to find time to present and teach at international meetings and as a result has received numerous prizes for his work.

Mr Chris Blick is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at The Forbury Clinic offering clinics in London and Berkshire. Professor David Nicol has been a Consultant Urologist for over 20 years, currently appointed as Consultant Urologist and Chief of Surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital since 2012. His clinical work focusses on urological cancer, predominantly complex kidney and testicular cancer, in conjunction to a strong interest in general adult urology, encompassing diagnosis and treatment of common urological conditions related to bladder and prostatic symptoms, male genital problems and urinary infections.

Originally from Australia, Professor Nicol trained in Brisbane, Queensland and Canada. He was previously Director of Urology and Renal Transplantation at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and Professor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, pioneering laparoscopic urological surgery and performing the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in 1993. He has worked in the UK since 2009 – initially at the Royal Free Hospital and UCLH where he was Clinical Lead of Renal Transplantation and Renal Surgery. Following his move to the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2012 his clinical work has focussed on complex surgery for kidney cancer including those with vena caval extension and testicular cancer with patients referred nationally and internationally by urological colleagues. With testicular cancer he performs approximately 25% of all retroperitoneal lymph node resections in the UK. He has trained numerous urologists from UK and abroad in his subspecialty interests who now also practice in these areas at other major institutions. In addition he frequently works with colleagues in other surgical specialities such as gynaecology and colorectal surgery for complex surgical procedures where urological structures are involved and made need to be resected or repaired.

Professor Nicol’s research interests focus on kidney and testicular cancer and he is an invited speaker at specialty meetings in the UK and abroad. He has published over 150 articles in specialty journals and 8 book chapters. Mr Majed Shabbir is a highly esteemed and internationally renowned Consultant Urological Surgeon at London Bridge Hospital, specialising in andrology, male infertility and genito-urethral reconstruction. He is the Chair of the British Association of Urological Surgeons Section of Andrology & Genito-urethral Reconstruction.

Mr Shabbir graduated with an MBBS with Distinction from St George's Hospital Medical School (University of London) in 1997. He completed his Higher Surgical Training in London and Surrey, including 18 months training in penile cancer and genito-urethral reconstruction at St George’s Hospital, London before going on to complete a two-year Fellowship Program in penile cancer, andrology and genito-urethral reconstruction at The Institute of Urology, at University College Hospital, London. He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Lead for Andrology and Genital Reconstruction at Guy's and St Thomas' in 2012 and looks after one of the largest tertiary referral practices for Andrology in the UK. 

He organises and has run a number of national postgraduate andrological training courses including the BAUS Section of Andrology Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal/Infertility course. He is the co-founder and organiser of the renowned AGOUR course for the FRCS (Urol). He has since won a number of other awards for research and was appointed as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at King's College London in 2019.
