Mr Chris Blick is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at The Forbury Clinic offering clinics in London and Berkshire. Following his graduation, he was awarded a fellowship grant by The Royal College of Surgeons, The Urology Foundation and UCare to support a 3-year full time laboratory based scientific research into kidney and bladder cancer. His finding has been published extensively throughout clinical and scientific literature and upon completion of his thesis he was awarded a DPhil (PhD) by Christ Church, University of Oxford.

He undertook his specialist urological training in the Oxford deanery before its completion with a British Association of Urological Surgeons Fellowship to the Keck Institute of Medicine, University of Southern California, USA. This was completed under the tuition of world renowned Professor Inderbir Gill, a pioneer and international leader of robotic renal and bladder surgery. During his training period he was nominated by his peers as Chairman of the Specialist Urology Registrars Group (SURG) where he represented the UK and Irish specialist urological trainees/residents over a 3-year chairmanship.

He has a specialist interest in urological cancers, in particular laparoscopic and robotic renal and bladder surgery. He is also highly skilled in general and diagnostic urology

Mr Faiz Mumtaz is a consultant urologist with over 18 years of experience in general urology with a subspecialist interest in keyhole surgery and minimally invasive robotic kidney cancer surgery. Faiz qualified in 1985 and undertook his postgraduate training at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London. He has participated in various clinical trials and is a recipient of several research innovative grants. Professor David Nicol has been a Consultant Urologist for over 20 years, currently appointed as Consultant Urologist and Chief of Surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital since 2012. His clinical work focusses on urological cancer, predominantly complex kidney and testicular cancer, in conjunction to a strong interest in general adult urology, encompassing diagnosis and treatment of common urological conditions related to bladder and prostatic symptoms, male genital problems and urinary infections.

Originally from Australia, Professor Nicol trained in Brisbane, Queensland and Canada. He was previously Director of Urology and Renal Transplantation at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and Professor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, pioneering laparoscopic urological surgery and performing the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in 1993. He has worked in the UK since 2009 – initially at the Royal Free Hospital and UCLH where he was Clinical Lead of Renal Transplantation and Renal Surgery. Following his move to the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2012 his clinical work has focussed on complex surgery for kidney cancer including those with vena caval extension and testicular cancer with patients referred nationally and internationally by urological colleagues. With testicular cancer he performs approximately 25% of all retroperitoneal lymph node resections in the UK. He has trained numerous urologists from UK and abroad in his subspecialty interests who now also practice in these areas at other major institutions. In addition he frequently works with colleagues in other surgical specialities such as gynaecology and colorectal surgery for complex surgical procedures where urological structures are involved and made need to be resected or repaired.

Professor Nicol’s research interests focus on kidney and testicular cancer and he is an invited speaker at specialty meetings in the UK and abroad. He has published over 150 articles in specialty journals and 8 book chapters. He is member of the European Association of Urology Testicular Cancer Guidelines as well as the NCRI Kidney and Bladder Research Committee.

Rob Gray is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a reputation for high-quality minimally invasive kidney, stone and prostate surgery. He qualified in medicine and surgery with honours in 2008 and trained in Bristol, Oxford and London before taking a substantive post in Buckinghamshire. Mr Marios Hadjipavlou is a London-trained consultant urological surgeon based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital as well as Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, where he is an honorary consultant. His specialist interests are in general urology, endourology, male lower urinary tract conditions, benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer diagnosis, the endoscopic management of stone disease, and holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP).

Dr Hadjipavlou gained his medical qualification from King's College London before specialising in urology and undertaking further training across South London and Wessex. During his training, he gained expertise in laser prostatectomy for patients with enlarged prostates as well as MRI-guided transperineal prostate biopsies for the diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer. Dr Hadjipavlou has given expert advice to NICE (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) on a number of new benign prostatic hyperplasia treatments. He also has a passion for medical education and teaches both undergraduates and postgraduates.

Dr Hajipavlou has won several awards throughout his career including the prize for best poster at the Société Internationale d'Urologie Congress in 2019 and first prize for best podium presentation from the Royal Society of Medicine in 2017. He has had 42 visiting professorships, given 224 invited lectures around the world including the Hunterian oration at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 and the Moynihan oration to the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland in 2009 and has been visiting surgeon to 121 institutions around the world. He has a long and distinguished career in urological reconstruction. Eleni Anastasiadis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital and St  George’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.  She studied medicine at Leicester University Medical School, completing her studies for a MBChB in 2008 with Honours. Eleni received numerous accolades during her medical studies, including the Phillip Hammersley Gold Medal for the best academic performance in the MBChB course as a whole and distinctions for every core area of study. She also received the Dean’s Salver for the Best Non-Academic contributions to the Medical School for her work as a student leader and as a tutor to fellow medical students.

As a junior doctor Eleni went on to achieve two prestigious and highly competitive Nationl Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellowships. During this period, she earned a MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and entered Specialist Urological training in the South London region. During her specialist training Eleni had the privilege of working with numerous world leading urologists, including at St George’s Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, enabling her to train comprehensively within Urology.

In 2019 Eleni became a substantive consultant at Croydon University Hospital and Honorary Consultant at St George’s Hospital. In Croydon Eleni delivers general urological  services, regularly doing minimally invasive endoscopic prostate surgery (bipolar resection) for urinary symptoms, circumcisions, vasectomies, hydrocele surgery, testicular/ scrotal surgeries, ureteric stone surgery, and diagnostic procedures including cystoscopies.

Eleni has also set up and runs the Andrology service, offering specialist clinics in erectile dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain syndrome/ chronic prostatitis/ chronic scrotal pain, Peyronie’s disease, complex penile reconstructive surgery, male infertility, urethral strictures, microsurgical varicocele treatment, testicular/ scrotal surgeries etc. At St George’s Hospital Eleni is an active member of the supra-network Penile Cancer and benign Andrology teams. He received a PhD for his research on bladder cancer, publishing over 90 papers in national and international journals and is the principal editor of the textbook Urological Oncology published in 2007. His research interests include early diagnosis of genitourinary cancer, angiogenesis and minimally invasive management of urological cancers. He was nominated by his patients for Kings fund/Evening Standard NHS Champion award in 2002 and NHS Innovation in 2008.
