Professor Jeremy Sanderson is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospital and a reader in Gastroenterology at the Nutritional Sciences Division King’s College London. He graduated from Charing Cross Hospital and trained in London and Australia. 

Professor Sanderson sees patients with all general gastrointestinal conditions. He is particularly interested in inflammatory bowel disease - Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome. Professor Sanderson has extensive experience in endoscopic procedures (colonoscopy, upper Gi endoscopy). Professor Sanderson has a keen interest in clinical research with focus on genetics, microbiology and immunology of Crohn’s disease and individualised medicine. He has published a number of peer-reviewed papers and lectures regularly at national and international conferences. Professor Sanderson was secretary of the British Society of Gastroenterology from 2001 to 2005.

Dr Deepak Joshi is a Consultant Hepatologist at the Institute of Liver Studies at King's College Hospital and Guthrie Clinic. He qualified from King's College in 2001 and went on to train in hepatology at the Institute of Liver Studies. He obtained his PhD degree from the same institute studying the predictors of fibrosis in patients following liver transplantation. During his training at the renowned University College London Hospitals, Dr Joshi developed expertise in endoscopy and ERCP, both adult and paediatric. I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist at Guys and St Thomas hospital, London, one of the country’s well known teaching hospitals. I have an expertise in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, and I am the service lead for nutrition. I completed my general medicine and gastroenterology training in London. I was a senior fellow at guys and st Thomas in inflammatory bowel disease. During that time I gained training and experience in inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and advanced endoscopy.

Dr Amit Gera is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich which is based in the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. Alongside this, he is the lead clinician for upper gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancer and furthermore leads the viral hepatitis service.

Dr Gera qualified with distinction from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2000. Following his qualification, he undertook specialist training in gastroenterology with a particular focus in liver diseases. He later gained advanced training in viral hepatitis, hepatobiliary medicine, transplantation and critical care at the Liver Unit at King’s College Hospital.

In 2010 he was awarded with an endoscopy fellowship by the British Society of Gastroenterology in order to train in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at The Medical University of South Carolina, USA. Since then, he has been the training programme director for the prestigious South Thames Gastroenterology training scheme and was responsible for running the regional gastroenterology teaching programme.
