He then worked as a Consultant in Abu Dhabi, and then returned to the UK in 2010 to work for Bart’s Health Trust. He is also interested in research and has many professional publications. 

He now splits his time as a senior consultant at the Royal London Hospital where he teaches and operates on particularly more complex cases and working privately in central London with patients traveling from all over the world for his expertise. Mr Jonathan Bird is a London orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in knee surgery. While studying at the UCL School of Medicine, where he eventually qualified from, Mr Bird joined the British Army.
