Professor Hitendra Patel is a leading expert in the field of Urology, offering general and specialist urological care. He specialises in Urological Cancers including prostate, bladder and kidney.

Professor Patel has been instrumental in the training of junior urologists, he has taught extensively on Minimal Access Surgery, Robotics and Simulation. Until very recently he was Deputy Director of the Minimal Access Surgery and Simulation Centre at University College London Hospital. He has also co-led the implementation of minimal access surgery at a number of departments including Section of Laparoscopy and Robotic Surgery at University of Rochester Medical Centre (URMC) in New York, University College London Hospitals, Royal Free and Whittington NHS Trusts and Guys and St Thomas's NHS Trust.

He was made an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Bart’s & The London, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and recently became a Professor of Surgery & Urology, and Director of Robotic Urological Surgery, University Hospital North Norway.

Professor Patel is actively involved in clinical research and has been published in over 300 articles, book chapters, abstracts and books. He also supervises students conducting research through PhD and MSc programmes.

Professor Asif Raza is a Consultant Urological Surgeon for London Northwest University Healthcare NHS Trust. He is an Honorrary Associate Professor at Plymouth University School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College Medical School, London. Mr Konstantinos Charitopoulos is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at West Middlesex Hospital. He qualified from Patras University Medical School, Greece before completing his speciality Urology training in Athens.

Mr Charitopoulos subsequently moved to the UK and completed a Fellowship in Endourology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. He is very actively involved in research and was awarded a PhD with Honours from the University of Athens. He has been published in more than 30 scientific journals.

Dr Channa Jayasena is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Andrologist with many years of experience in the treatment and management of reproductive endocrinology conditions. Dr Jayasena earned his bachelor's degree in medicine at Cambridge University, which he followed with specialist Diabetes and Endocrinology training in various renowned London Hospitals and teaching centres. Dr Jayasena then gained fellowship with the Wellcome Trust, were he was among the first to lead first-to-human studies about the effects of novel hypothalamic peptides on the human reproductive axis. Since his Consultant appointment, Dr Jayasena has become the Clinical Lead for Male infertility and Andrology, the study of male reproductive and urological health.

During his time as Consultant and Clinical Lead, Dr Jayasena has helped in the development of cutting edge, state of the art treatment for male infertility such as microsurgical testicular sperm extraction, reactive oxygen species measurement, and testicular mapping. He has also won several awards for his research and clinical practice, such as the 2014 Young Endocrinologist Prize from The UK’s Society for Endocrinology.

He is an editor on several specialist journals, and has been invited to contribute to numerous medical textbooks. Dr. Jayasena plays an active role in clinical guideline development, and the training of other clinicians in the UK and internationally.

Mr Tomas Rosenbaum is a Consultant Urologist at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and he also sees patients privately, including at The Princess Grace Hospital, The Portland Hospital and HCA Chiswick Medical Centre. He specialises in both general and paediatric urology, including prostate disease; blood in the urine; urine infections; kidney stones and colic; vasectomy; urinary incontinence; scrotal pain and swelling; phimosis; circumcision and baby circumcision.

His research interests include voiding dysfunctions, urodynamics and alpha blockers for BPH. He has further developed a technique for 24 hrs recordings of Ambulatory Urodynamic; and invented and developed a device to facilitate self catheterisation in women.

Mr Rosenbaum was appointed a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Ealing Hospital in 1997 and has developed a local high quality urological service including clinics in general urology, uro-oncology, prostate disease, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction and the fast track haematuria service. He also supported the expansion of the Endoscopy Unit into a fully video flexible unit and continues expanding the role of minimally invasive urological surgery. Mr Rosembaum underwent basic medical training in Buenos Aires, Argentina, followed by a second medical degree and surgical training in the UK. He is on the editorial board of a number of speciality journals and also lectures regularly.
