Dr Animesh Singh is a Consultant in Rheumatology and Acute & General Medicine, offering both NHS and private services in London. He works for NHS at the Royal Free Hospital, and works privately at The Princess Grace Hospital, The Physicians' Clinic and Chiswick Medical Centre. His specialist areas of interest include the management of patients with all types of rheumatological disorders, including rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, lupus (SLE), polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) and vasculitis. He is also actively involved in both acute and general medicine practice, which includes assessing and managing acutely sick patients, as well as investigating complex or undifferentiated symptoms.

His research focused on the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis and its modulation by anti-TNF therapy, from which he was received multiple awards, including one from Arthritis Research UK.

Dr Singh completed his general medical and rheumatology training at various district general and leading teaching hospitals across north and west London. He also undertook research for a global pharmaceutical company, where he conducted significant clinical trials relating to the rare disease scleroderma and cytokine-release syndrome in leukaemia patients.

Dr Singhs philosophy is to provide his patients with holistic, evidence-based care. He firmly believes in treating patients individually, holding their various beliefs and background in high respect. He takes pride in running his clinics in a collaborative fashion, not just focusing on the medical problems of his patients.

He leads a unique collaborative clinic with highly experienced dermatology consultants at the Royal Free Hospital, which is centred around patients with complex psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Dr Singh is passionate about research and sharing his expertise, being a principal investigator in a number of clinical trials, as well as an educational supervisor for junior doctors and clinical tutor for undergraduate medical students.

He has published over 25 publications in peer reviewed journals and presented in over 20 national and international medical conferences.

In his NHS role, Dr Farah is a substantive consultant in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine at London Northwest University Trust. He runs a dedicated early inflammatory arthritis clinic at Northwick Park Hospital alongside his general rheumatology clinics. He also looks after inpatients with complex medical presentations, and he leads a team of doctors managing acute patients attending the Emergency Ambulatory Care unit. In 2020, he received a Clinical Excellence Award in recognition for the quality of care he provides his patients.

Dr Shahir Hamdulay is a Consultant Rheumatologist based in London, UK. Having studied at the Royal Free Hospital, he was awarded his medical degree in 1999. Following this, he undertook postgraduate training across Hammersmith & University College London hospitals before completing specialist training in Rheumatology. Dr Simon Paul is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Sports Physician. He specialises in inflammatory arthritis conditions, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Osteoarthritis, rehabilitation medicine, gout, widespread pain syndromes, neck and back pain. He set up a private practice, London Sports Orthopaedics, in 2017, which is now one of the leading centres for sports injuries and he also treats NHS patients in Surrey.

Dr Sonya Abraham is a Consultant Research Physician, specialising in rheumatology, general internal medicine and early phase clinical studies at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She sees patients privately at a number of locations, including The Lister Hospital, Chelsea Outpatient Centre, Sydney Street Outpatients and Diagnostic Centre and Chiswick Medical Centre.

She was lead for clinical trials in inflammatory arthritis and north-west London CLRN Rheumatology lead and nationally, is the CCRN musculoskeletal industry liaison lead.

Dr Abraham’s clinical and educational research interests include the development of biomarkers in immune-mediated inflammatory disease, understanding the effects of steroids on intracellular pro-inflammatory signalling pathways, imaging in inflammatory arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis) and understanding the impact of inflammatory disease on the patient and their family and she holds a number of research grants related to these areas.

 Her undergraduate training was at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School and she undertook postgraduate training was in Oxford, Cambridge and London. Her PhD is from the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, and as a Wellcome Clinical Training Fellow, she examined the effect of glucocorticoids on pro-inflammatory intracellular signalling.


Dr Abraham is President of the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation section of the Royal Society of Medicine, chair of the British Psoriatic Arthritis Consortium and north west London LCRN musculoskeletal and division 5 lead and she is an Arthritis Research UK medical student mentor. She speaks regularly  at international conferences and has a strong commitment to teaching, regularly lecturing medical students, GPs and nurses on topics related to clinical rheumatology and immunology. Dr Abraham has also authored and co-authored numerous clinical papers, as well as several book chapters on inflammation and rheumatology-related topics.

Dr Jenny Watkins is a consultant Rheumatologist practising at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and privately at Chiswick Medical Centre. Following completion of her general medical training in Leeds and then London, she undertook her specialist training in a variety of London Hospitals including centres of excellence such as the Royal Free and Hammersmith Hospitals.
