As a Consultant in Paediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Dr Brough runs the UK's largest children's allergy service based at Evelina London Children's Hospital, where she also jointly leads the specialist difficult asthma and allergy service. In addition, she heads up allergy transition services for teenagers up to 18 years of age with the goal of equipping them with the knowledge and recommendations on how to take control of their allergies. She features on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council, with dual accreditation for both General Paediatrics and Paediatric Allergy. Her areas of expertise include food allergy prevention, diagnosis and treatment, asthma, eczema, immunotherapy and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr Brough graduated with double honours in Medicine and Experimental Psychology from King’s College, Cambridge University. Following this, she undertook clinical training at the Royal Free & University College London Medical School. Dr Brough has trained in many distinguished teaching hospitals in the UK, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Dr Brough is an active researcher and has widely published in the field of paediatric allergy in the form of research articles, textbooks and written reviews on the management and prevention of food allergies, dietary management of peanut allergy and the risks of environmental exposure to food for paediatric patients. She often presents her research at national and international meetings, and is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College London. In 2010, Coeliac UK awarded her as the runner up for 'Health Professional of the Year', and was presented with the Barry Kay Award from the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology in 2013, recognising her contributions to, and excellence in, Paediatric Allergy research.

Dr Elia Maalouf is a highly qualified General Paediatrician and Neonatologist, with a wealth experience and a specialist expertise in brain injury in preterm and term newborns. Based in London, Dr Maalouf is a part-time Consultant at Homerton University Hospital and at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children. Additional areas of expertise include general paediatric clinics and baby checks, treating excessive crying and feeding problems, gastroesophageal reflux in babies, breathing problems, recurrent fevers and frequent infection in babies, as well as diarrhoea, paediatric constipation and tiredness.

Dr Maalouf obtained his primary medical qualification at the University of Dundee in Scotland in 1989, before embarking upon further education and comprehensive specialty training. In 1999, he completed a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, based on his thesis centred on brain injury in preterm infants and, in the same year, was appointed as a Consultant at Homerton University Hospital in London.

Dr Maalouf is committed to advancing his field of expertise and is actively involved in research. He has published multiple research papers and is the Editor-in-Chief for "Early Human Development", a leading medical research journal. In addition, he is a core member of the Neonatal Society and The British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) and a Fellow of The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).

Dr. Paraskevi Theocharis is a Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist with over five years of experience in the diagnosis of paediatric heart conditions. Dr. Theocharis is an expert in the use of advanced cardiac imaging including deformational imaging, structural echocardiography, Transoesophageal echocardiogram. She centres her practice around providing crucial imaging information and guidance to interventionists and congenital cardiac surgeons to achieve optimal results.

Dr. Theocharis specialized in Paediatrics and obtained her Ph.D. in Greece, followed by her extensive Paediatric Cardiology training in the UK. Her interest in research began early on in her career and, resulting in her publishing numerous articles and book chapters in paediatric cardiology, echocardiography, early stages of atherosclerosis from childhood, pulmonary hypertension, and neonatology.

Dr. Theocharis is based at The Portland Hospital and at Evelina London Children’s Hospital (ELCH), one of the leading centers for Paediatric Cardiology in Europe since 2017. She has specialized in advanced echocardiography, structural echocardiography, inpatient patient management, pulmonary hypertension, and Kawasaki Disease.

Dr. Theocharis provides extended outpatient consultations for the majority of heart problems in children including heart murmurs, chest pain, palpitations, valve disease, pulmonary hypertension, endothelial disease. She is also a member of the Multidisciplinary Kawasaki team and the recently described Multi Inflammatory syndrome at ELCH which is unique in the country and leading in the cardiology section of it. Dr. Theocharis is also a keen researcher, and her extensive scientific background supports her to provide up-to-date, evidence-based care and management to your children.

Dr Ahmed Massoud is a Consultant Paediatrician and Endocrinologist working both in the NHS and the private sector in London at Northwick Park Hospital. His main interests are general paediatrics, growth disorders, thyroid disorders, pubertal problems and childhood diabetes. 

Dr Massoud graduated from University College London, trained in General Paediatrics and completed his sub-speciality training in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at The Middlesex and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. Dr Massoud also has Postgraduate General Professional Training in General Paediatrics in several London Teaching Hospitals and is a Clinical Research Fellow in Paediatric Endocrinology at the Middlesex Hospital.

Outside his clinical work, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Child Health at Imperial College School of Medicine and has written various publications (chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals) in the field of Paediatric Endocrinology. He is an immediate past Chairman of the RCPCH Speciality Advisory Committee for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes.

Professor John Deanfield works at the University College London and has an interest in paediatric cardiology with a particular focus on endothelial function and congenital heart disease.

He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1975 and underwent clinical training at Middlesex Hospital, London, and postgraduate training in paediatric cardiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital and adult cardiology at Hammersmith Hospital. He was appointed as a Consultant in 1984 and has over 34 years of consultant experience. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology and the American College of Cardiology.

Dr Maria Kinali is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist with special interests in childhood neuromuscular diseases, neurogenetics and neurorehabilitation. In 1999 she coordinated the UK steroid trial in DMD involving the smooth integration of a study in 14 UK neuromuscular Centres. She contributed to her interest in translational research by setting up a Rare Diseases biological samples bank (Biobank) for research to facilitate pharmacological, gene and cell therapy trials in NMD. Between April 2005-May 2009 I worked as a Senior Clinical Research Fellow, at both Imperial College and subsequently the Institute of Child Health, London, coordinating a Phase I/II Clinical Trial using a Morpholino Antisense Oligonucleotide (AVI-4658) in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Dr Kinali achieved her primary medical qualification (Ptychio Iatrikes) in 1992 at the University of Patras, completing an MD in the management and long-term outcomes in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and contributing in the delineation of the natural history of several neuromuscular disorders (NMD).

Dr Lee Noimark graduated from University College London & Middlesex Medical School and trained in paediatrics and paediatric allergy, in which he is one of the few accredited specialists in the UK. Currently his NHS practice is at Barts and the London Children’s Hospital where he heads the paediatric allergy team. He previously trained in allergy at Imperial College London NHS Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

He has special interests in food allergy and anaphylaxis and the management of allergic children with eczema. He also sees children with hayfever, asthma and chronic urticaria (hives). His current research interests include the management of anaphylaxis, allergic gut disease, and improving diagnostics in children with food allergy.

Dr Yiannis Ioannou is a Consultant General Paediatrician based in London and welcomes consultations on all conditions affecting children of all ages, including: reflux and colic, abdominal pain, constipation, headaches, coughing, asthma and wheezing as well as skin rashes and infections. Dr Ioannou graduated with a BA Hons degree from Pembroke College, Cambridge University and obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in London. He is currently based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London where he is also the lead for paediatric undergraduate education for medical students of Imperial College, London. Dr Ioannou is also Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College.

Further to his extensive and diverse general paediatric experience, he has completed higher specialist training in paediatric emergency and paediatric intensive care and retrieval at St Mary’s Hospital, London. He has also completed subspecialty training, and gained experience in paediatric nephrology, neurology, oncology and neonatology at Evelina London Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia.

Dr Ioannou also completed an MSc in Clinical Paediatrics, was awarded a fellowship with the Higher Education Academy and received a Teaching Excellence Award for NHS Teachers by Imperial College School of Medicine. 

Dr Benjamin Jacobs is a Consultant Paediatrician based in London and specialises in all areas of childrens medicine.

After graduating with a merit in surgery from Middlesex Hospital Medical School, University of London in 1985, Dr Jacobs went on to train in paediatrics in London, after which he accepted a 4-year lecturer post at the University of Manchester as an Honorary Senior Registrar. During his time here, Dr Jacobs carried research and submitted a MD thesis centred on the psychology of children's eczema. Owing to his impressive research efforts, he was awarded a three-year fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada from 1996-1999. After completing this, achieving an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology with a thesis on influenza in children (CARIFS), he returned to the UK.

Dr Jacobs is based at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. His specialist interest is in the treatment of children and teenagers with bone or musculoskeletal problems, particularly those relating to nutrition, Vitamin D, growing pains and bone disease. Dr Jacobs also has comprehensive experience in treating rare bone diseases such as rickets, osteogenesis and chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO).

Dr Jacobs often lectures at national and international conferences, sharing his research and expertise in children's bone diseases. He also speaks on behalf of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Winner of Allergy UK's 'Paediatric Allergist of the Year' award in 2007, Professor Adam Fox is a London-based Consultant Paediatric Allergist. Having obtained a degree in Medicine and Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, Professor Fox undertook clinical training in Paediatric Allergy at University College London and successfully completed this in 2006. Professor Fox runs a highly reputed private practice called Allergy London, which, in 2019, received the award of 'Best Allergy Clinic - London' in the Global Health & Pharma Private Healthcare Awards. 

Professor Fox is widely recognised as a leader in the field of Paediatric Allergy and is one of few in the UK with higher training in this specialty. His key areas of interest include the management of the food allergy, the treatment of asthma, rhinitis (hayfever), eczema,and conjunctivitis, as well as allergies to drugs and insect stings. 

Over the years, he has received numerous awards for his expertise and contribution to the field. Owing to his consistent commitment to provide his patients with the best possible care, he was awarded the Doctify Excellent Patient Experience 2018 award. His many other impressive achievements include being featured in The Times' ‘Britain’s 100 Best Children’s Doctor’s’ list in 2012. In 2015, Professor Fox was also presented with the William Frankland Award for Outstanding Contribution to Allergy from the British Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (BSACI), and also received a national Clinical Excellence Award (CEA) from the UK Department of Health in 2016.
