Mr Joydeep Sinha is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital (KCH), London, specialising in shoulder and upper limb surgery. His specialist interests include arthroscopic keyhole shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder replacement, sports injuries and upper limb trauma.

He completed his Orthopaedic training in London, working on the KCH and South East Thames Orthopaedic rotations. His Fellowships include working in New York and Seattle, USA and the Wrightington Hospital, UK. During this time, he gained specialist training in trauma, shoulder, elbow and hand surgery.

Mr Sinha was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at KCH in 1996 and has since worked with his colleagues to develop the Upper Limb Unit to achieve national and international recognition. He has also been Clinical Lead for Orthopaedics, Clinical Lead for the Day Surgery Unit; and is presently Clinical Director for Surgery at KCH, and Joint CAG 2 Leader (Trauma, Orthopaedics, Plastics and ENT) for King’s Health Partners (KHP). 

Mr Sinha has lectured locally to GP’s and Physiotherapists, and both nationally and internationally on the topics of upper limb trauma and shoulder surgery, with a focus on aspects of arthroscopic keyhole surgery and shoulder replacement. Additionally, he is involved in Undergraduate training (Medical Students) and Postgraduate Teaching within King’s College, University of London. Mr Amer Khan was educated at Kings College London where he gained a 1st class honours in Physiology and Exercise Medicine before qualifying in 1994.
